A message to TSHL Club Presidents and the community
TSHL Presidents,
First and foremost, thank you to everyone who put their name forward for a Board of Governors seat. We had a strong, passionate group of candidates, and it's a great sign for where this league is headed. For those who weren't selected this round, we'll be reaching out directly. Your experience and passion are exactly what we need as we build out the committee structure in the next phase.
Your Board of Governors Is Set
| # | Name | Position | Selection |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Cosmo Clarke | Governor #1 | Voted on by TAHA Board |
| 2 | Andy Gibson | Governor #2 | Voted on by THL Board |
| 3 | Mark Snyder | Governor #3 | Past President (appointed by THL Board for Inaugural Season) |
| 4 | Jason Ragsdale | Governor #4 | Voted on by Eastern HS clubs |
| 5 | Cristen Copeland | Governor #5 | Voted on by Western HS clubs |
These five were chosen by you, the club and community leaders, through the nomination and voting process we ran over the past couple of weeks. If you want a refresher on how this structure came together and the parameters it was built on, our past updates on the website and socials walk through that process from the start.
Building the Operational Team
The Board of Governors will now work alongside the THL Executive Board to establish the operational side of the TSHL. Over the next few days, we're asking clubs to submit candidates for the following roles, with relevant experience or simply the passion to help build this to Andy Gibson, commissioner@texasscholastichockeyleague.com:
- Commissioner
- Deputy Commissioner
- Treasurer
- Registrar
- Lead Scheduler
This league is moving, and we're already preparing for the Fall season. The people who step into these roles will serve our current members directly and carry out the direction set by the Board of Governors.
Moving Forward, Together
We've covered a lot of ground in the last week alone, and we're not slowing down. Our goal is to have the board fully operational within the coming week. Once again, this has proven that the fastest way to move this league forward is by staying close to the community: The calls, emails, and conversations with all of you are what's making this possible. Thank you for your patience as we continue to adapt and push the TSHL forward.
In the game together,
